I spent a very useful and productive day at the Event Production Show at Olympia this week. In amongst the companies specialising in seating, lighting, rigging, PR, insurance and the like were a few who really benefited from the skills of a trade show magician. You can spend a lot of money setting up a large stand at an event such as this, but unless you can attract visitors, keep their interest and send them away with something memorable then the benefits are easily lost. A magician on your stand is something a bit different and really makes you stand out. Although maybe not as much as the company who had brought along a full-size T-Rex, which wandered the hall knocking things over with its animatronic tail!
My favourite stand was Sophie Grey's Model Catering (www.modelcatering.com). They provide superb food and sophisticated service - "remarkable food served by remarkable people". Sophie has worked with clients such as GQ magazine, Bank of America and Gucci and I hope to add my magical skills to some of her forthcoming events.
If you've got a trade show coming up then why not contact me for a discussion and quote - you'll be pleasantly suprised how a small investment in some trade show magic can deliver more leads, more customers and more orders, maximising the return on your investment.
