I thought that my recent near encounter with Brad Pitt would be the closest I got to a film star this year - but I was wrong! Out of the blue I received a phone call asking if I would like to appear in a British comedy film that is due in the cinemas next Easter. They wanted to feature a magician and I'd been chosen for the part - amazing! So on Sunday I turned up at the shoot, met the stars and before I knew it the camera turned my way and we were off. We shot two scenes, one interacting with the main characters in the film (showing them some magic) and another performing alongside them to a group of extras. There were cameras, lights, cables and make-up staff everywhere but it was all very slick and a lot of fun. The film is called "The Wedding Video" and you can see more about it here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2035670/
Hopefully I will get the chance to appear on the red carpet for the premiere and entertain at the aftershow party. Of course it's possible that my scenes will end up on the cutting room floor, but the director seemed very pleased with the magic I did so fingers crossed that you will be able to see me in action on the big screen in a few months time.

Last week I spent a couple of hours entertaining at the Sensors and Systems show being held in the huge FIVE building at Farnborough Airport. After a hard day of working at the show the exhibitors deserved a relaxing wind-down with food, drink and some magic thrown in. I met a lot of interesting people and learnt loads about sensors! With a little bit of palm reading added into the mix it was a great way to wrap up the day and many thanks to Trident Exhibitions for organising such as excellent event. On the way home I had the added bonus of spotting a huge "green screen" set for Brad Pitt's forthcoming zombie film "World War Z" - but unfortunately didn't get to see Brad himself. Apparently he is in the Bicester area today, so if you are over that way you might just bump into him!
