Yesterday I spent the afternoon at Loseley Park near Guildford for Neil and Patricia's wedding.
Loseley Park is a wonderful wedding venue and, as a regular performer there, I will have a stand at their wedding fair on 5th October - if you're in the Guildford area and planning a wedding then come along to see a free demo of my wedding magic and mind-reading. I had met Neil at a wedding fair a while back when he was looking for someone to entertain his guests during the afternoon wedding reception. In fact he had a stand at the fair himself as he runs an entertainment company (http://www.sphereentertainments.co.uk/) and is a talented DJ, but unsurprisingly he wasn't being allowed to DJ his own wedding! I spent a couple of enjoyable hours mingling with the wedding guests doing impossible things. It was great fun and went down really well with everyone, you can see some pictures below. Many congratulations to Neil and Patricia, have a wonderful honeymoon in the Maldives!

I've spent the last couple of days in London doing magic for luxury interior design company Andrew Martin. Their showroom is an Aladdin's Cave of wonderful things and well worth a visit (it's on Walton Street near South Kensington tube station). I was there last year as part of London Design Week and it was a pleasure to be back again for 2014. The area around Walton Street is full of exclusive shops and celebrities so it was no great surprise to spot this amazing/appalling gold Ferrari parked nearby... I thoroughly enjoyed entertaining the Andrew Martin customers. Alongside the magic there was also live music and free champagne and ice cream on offer. It made for a lovely atmosphere and the whole approach was in keeping with the Andrew Martin ethos - enjoy beautiful things, live life to the full and have fun! And if you're thinking of visiting Andrew Martin these pictures give a taste of what you can expect to see...
Over the last two weeks I've performed at a number of private parties, weddings and corporate functions. I've also had a lot of fun doing magic in some local pubs and been back at my regular slot entertaining passengers at Heathrow Airport. Last night I had a long drive (not helped by the Friday rush hour traffic) to the town of Ledbury. I'd been invited to do some magic at the wedding of Tina and Jim in the wonderful surroundings of Eastnor Castle and when I arrived and had a look around the venue it made the long journey worthwhile! The magic went down really well in this historical setting and the low lighting made for a suitably spooky atmosphere for some of the mind reading! The only incongruous note was the wedding band who set up in one of the rooms and started playing Michael Jackson songs - it wasn't what you expected to hear amongst the stuffed animals and suits of armour but they were excellent musicians and quickly got everyone up dancing. Many thanks to Tina and Jim for inviting me to be a part of their wedding celebrations - congratulations on your wedding and all the best for the future! If you're interested in getting married at Eastnor Castle then you might like to watch the quick video I took on my phone below - it shows just one of the rooms that you can hire. You can find out lots more on the website http://eastnorcastle.com/ If you would like to hire a magician to entertain at your Eastnor Castle event then I've seen that they can provide one for you, but with their prices starting at £540 + VAT (!) you might prefer to cut out the middle man, save some money and contact me directly. I'd be delighted to come along and amaze your guests! ![]() In amongst the various special events I've appeared at (see below) there have also been LOTS of weddings. Having a magician at your wedding is a great way to treat your guests to something special and a bit different. No need for a stage, I just wander around doing impossible things right in front of everyone! Think of a random word or your PIN code - I know what it is. Take out a coin - I can make it bend just by looking at it. It's the perfect way to astonish your guests and get them all talking, laughing and gasping with amazement. I'm currently taking bookings for 2014/15/16, so if you are planning a wedding and would like to treat your guests to something extraordinary get in touch. By the way I have recently been made an official recommended "Rockstar Vendor" by the Rock'n'Roll Bride website and magazine. Their mission is to make weddings as interesting and unusual as possible and I'm proud to be a part of it, many thanks to Kat for bringing me on board! There are garden parties and there are garden parties. Often they can be a small gathering of friends having a glass of wine and a relaxing chat, but last weekend I was asked to entertain at a rather large garden party in Shepperton, right on the banks of the Thames. There was food, drink, lots of bands playing, a charity auction, entertainment for the children and my magic - it was huge!. The weather was kind and the place was packed with people making the most of the late Summer sunshine. Many thanks for Linda, Graeme and Paul for arranging everything and asking me along. If you are planning a garden party and would like to add some magic into the mix then get in touch!
Earlier this week I spent a wonderful day at Salon Prive. This is the world's most exclusive motor event held in the grounds of Syon Park and, when I say exclusive, I really mean it - entry tickets cost £250 + VAT! It's the perfect place to spend a day with some of my corporate clients. The weather was fantastic and with free champagne and lobster on tap it's often a highlight of the year. The first car that you see is Jay Kay's "La Ferrari" (aka "Kermit")... ...but that's just the start. The whole park is full of rare, historic and exclusive cars. Usually a group of customised Lotuses would get some attention, but here they are the poor relations tucked away in a corner. If you want to spend the best part of one million pounds on a car then this is the place to come! ...even the car park outside is full of spectacular vehicles... I spent some time chatting with Jay Kay, the staff on the Boodles stand and various other motoring enthusiasts. What a great day, can't wait to do it all again next year!
