Well this was a bit different. Most of the wedding fairs that I attend are held in stately homes, hotels or National Trust properties - but this one was being held by Debenhams in Reading to promote their excellent wedding services (http://www.debenhams.com/weddings).
I set up a stand and spent a few hours amazing shoppers with some magic and mind-reading - not something they were expecting to happen when out shopping in town! It was a great day and I thoroughly enjoyed brightening up everyone's day with the magic and chatting with the other wedding exhibitors.

On Saturday I spent the afternoon entertaining at Stuart and Kim's wedding reception at Warbrook House in Eversley. As with all De Vere hotels this is an excellent wedding venue and is highly recommended if you live in the area. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and the food/drink was superb.
As the guests arrived I mingled performing magic and making balloon treats for the youngsters. Some close-up magic is a great way to add something special to your wedding day and keep the guests happy throughout, especially if the photos take quite a while and the weather starts to get a bit cold! It was the day of the Grand National so everything stopped for a few minutes while everyone watched the race, made all the more exciting by the photo-finish. All in all a lovely afternoon with a great crowd of people. Many congratulations to Stuart and Kim! I haven't updated this blog for a couple of weeks because there has been so much going on. Over the last two weeks I've done magic at four weddings, a big charity event, a casino, a restaurant and back at Heathrow airport - it's nice to be busy but I'll also enjoy having the next few days off!
