Well the last couple of weeks have been very busy. On Bank Holiday Monday I had been invited to do some mind reading for Brian May's "Wildlife Rocks" charity, being held in the grounds of Guildford Cathedral. There were stands, music, a bit of comedy, plenty of sunshine and some Mike Stoner magic! It was the perfect day to wander around reading people's minds and I got to stand on stage with the rock band Hawkwind and meet Brian himself. His bodyguard took a picture (see below) but it's bit blurry so I hope his bodyguarding is better than his photography! All in all a great day for a great cause.
A couple of days later I was at Wentworth golf club doing magic for a large party. Wentworth is an amazing venue and I always enjoy working here. You never know who you might meet - last time it was Bruce Forsyth and this time it was footballer Pat Jennings and motoring TV's Tiff Needell. When you ask someone to think of a word, as part of the mind reading act, they often go for something connected to their own life and Tiff was no exception - he thought of "Lotus 58F" which is a car he sometimes races in. A bit of a tough ask, but I got it in the end. Last weekend I performed at two parties and a wedding - one at Loseley Park in Guildford, one in my home town of Wokingham and one at the Bay Tree in Burford up in the Cotswolds. The Bay Tree holds special memories as it's where my sister got married a few years back, although unlike the sunny weather we're having at the moment her wedding was held in a foot of snow! (I also did some work for a forthcoming TV show, but can't say any more about that yet...) There are 10 days left until the end of May and I've got 7 more events in the diary between now and then. Another very enjoyable and very busy month of magic!

Prince Harry supports a number of charities and one in particular - WellChild (https://www.wellchild.org.uk/)
They hold many charity events throughout the year to help sick children. It's a great cause and I've been delighted to help out with some free magic and mind-reading at several of their parties and lunches. Most recently I spent a very enjoyable evening at the Intercontinental Park Lane as part of the WellChild "Energy Dinner". The whole evening had a magical theme and there were seven magicians there to entertain and amaze the guests! Alongside the excellent food and drink there was also a live band, roulette tables, mermaids in water tanks, a giant Scalextric track and (at one point) rather an excessive amount of dry ice. One of the tables virtually disappeared into the fog! It was a wonderful evening that raised thousands of pounds for a great cause. I will be back doing more magic for them in September as part of the annual awards ceremony at the Dorchester.
