Usually when someone gets in touch to ask about booking me for a party or event one of the first questions is "How many people will be there?" If it's a small dinner party the answer may be between 10 and 20. If it's a wedding then maybe 30 to 300. However on Saturday afternoon everything was a bit different as there were approximately 25,000 people in attendance! I had been booked to entertain at the Danone Nations Cup being held in Wembley Stadium. I arrived early and the place was nearly empty, but that didn't last for long as people poured in from 1pm onwards. Luckily I didn't have to do the magic on the terraces, but instead spent five hours performing in the Bobby Moore suite for all of the special guests. A fantastic (if rather exhausting) afternoon. Danone had hired 18 face-painters and balloon-modellers for the youngsters in attendance and just one magician - yours truly - so I was certainly kept busy! Everyone was in a great mood and the whole event was a huge success, many thanks to Josephine at Danone for asking me to be a part of it all.
