On Friday I was performing magic at the Hope & Anchor in Wokingham. This is an excellent friendly pub that regularly puts on live entertainment. They specialise in live music and feature some of the top bands on the circuit, with an emphasis on rock. But for this evening it was magic that took centre stage.
I always enjoy performing here - there is a great atmosphere and the pub attracts people who know how to have fun, especially on a Friday night. I did the normal mix of card tricks, mind-reading and palm-reading. At the start I was given a pack of the pub's cards to use, rather than my own "in case they're trick cards or something" apparently. No problem! Later in the evening I met Caroline who was interested in the hypnosis and hypnotherapy that I do. So we took the opportunity to remove a phobia she has, or should I say had! It's always good to help people as well as entertain them. A great night and I will be back at the H&A in the near future,
