Well, this has been a very busy and special few weeks. Of course I've been out performing at parties and weddings (see pictures below) but I've also presented my new magic lecture to two groups of magicians and helped out at a marriage proposal!
Being one of the busiest magicians in the UK I thought the time was right to share some of my ideas with other magicians across the country, so I have been developing a lecture all about the tricks I have invented and the best way to present them to amaze people. Having advertised the lecture on the MagicWeek website I've already had two bookings and thoroughly enjoyed lecturing to the Leicester Magic Circle and Mid-Essex Magic Society in early November. I'm hoping to take the lecture to other groups in the new year so, if you run a magic society and are looking for a special evening's entertainment, please get in touch. A highlight of the month was helping out at a marriage proposal. Hemal contacted me and said that he wanted to book a magician to do some magic for his girlfriend Neha and then, in the final trick, make a ring appear and then he would propose to her! I thought this was a great idea and we planned everything in secret beforehand, making sure that Neha had no idea what was being arranged. On the day itself I went up to London, met Hemal close to the London Eye and we finalised everything. He was understandably a bit nervously and so was I - what if she said "No"?!? We needn't have worried though - Neha turned up, expecting to have a drink with friends, and was rather surprised to find a magician there instead. I did a few magic and mind-reading tricks and then as a finale made a ring appear in a box she was holding. I then handed it to Hemal, he got down on one knee, proposed to her and she said a very happy "Yes!" It was a lovely moment and it was a real pleasure to be part of such a special occasion. Many congratulations to Hemal and Neha and all the best for your future together!
