The last few days have been extremely hectic with one party after another. In fact I've been performing so much that I've started losing my voice, although hopefully a couple of days rest will bring it back in time for next weekend's shows.
There have been two particular highlights recently. Firstly I did two hours of magic at the annual Berkshire Golf Club Christmas Party. This is a wonderful event for all ages and alongside my magic there was a clown, a balloon modeller and a hand-writing analyst. Everyone was in a great mood and the magic was a huge success, especially with the golf club captain who just thought of a few random words and I was able to tell him what they were. Many thanks to Elaine for arranging everything and for already booking me to come back for the party next December! The second very memorable event was doing mind reading for the World Fuel Services Christmas Party held at the historic Guildhall in Central London. I mingled with the 500 guests reading people's minds, predicting choices they would make, opening locked iPhones, guessing people's birthdays, bending coins and lots more - it was great fun and I must have handed out hundreds of business cards to amazed participants who wanted to see more at their own parties and events in 2015. Christmas is now just a week away and I've still got 10 more parties coming up in the meantime. It's been a crazy month!

I live in Wokingham so it's always a pleasure to do magic at local venues in the town. On Saturday I spent the afternoon at St Anne's Manor for Marie and Ben's wedding and then in the evening I was at Cantley House Hotel for a work party. Both of these venues have used me as an entertainer a number of times before, which meant everything went very smoothly.
Like many wedding/party venues St Anne's and Cantley require entertainers to be fully insured (not that you can do much harm with a pack of cards and some mind-reading!) which is why it's always advisable to choose a professional magician rather than an enthusiastic amateur. I'm fully insured (up to a value of £10,000,000) as part of my membership of the actor's/performer's union EQUITY so it's never a problem. Don't hire a magician who isn't properly insured - you may be liable if they accidentally damage something! The wedding and party both went extremely well and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the magic. I even had the pleasure of meeting SKY Sport's Celina Hinchcliffe - before going over to SKY she went down in history as the first woman to ever present BBC's "Football Focus" and their flagship "Match of the Day" If you are organising a wedding or party in Wokingham and would like to have a local magician come along and amaze your guests then get in touch! We are now in December and this is going to be a very busy month for me - I already have 21 parties booked in and a couple more in the pipeline! If you're looking to book a magician for your party then you'd better get in touch ASAP and maybe I'll have a gap in the diary. I'm always adding new ideas, tricks and routines into the magic and at this time of year a couple of appropriately festive elements make an appearance. This doesn't mean just using a pack of cards with snowmen printed on the back (!) but how about if you think of what you would most like for Christmas and then I read your mind and tell you what you're thinking - that's more like it! I did something similar at a party a few days ago. This was the stunned reaction... If you'd like a party magician to make your guests react like this then get in touch!
