Working as a party magician and wedding magician I get to perform in a lot of amazing places. I've done magic at the Savoy, in the Gherkin, inside Tower Bridge, at two West End theatres and on SKY and ITV. However there is one venue that has always been very special to me and that is the Elvetham Hotel in Hartley Wintney. It's a bit of a "hidden gem" and the first time you see it you are going to be stunned. It's a huge gorgeous building, just as amazing on the inside as on the outside, and all of the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. It's the perfect spot for a first-class party or wedding!
I have been lucky enough to perform at the Elvetham a number of times, it's always a pleasure and the historic surroundings make the ideal setting for some magic. Last weekend I was booked to entertain at a party that had been arranged by Aimee, who is one of the event managers at the Elvetham. The magic went down really well and today I received a lovely email saying - "We were so impressed with your magic and your professionalism that we would like to put you on our preferred suppliers list that is sent to all of our brides and grooms and corporate guests" To find out more about the Elvetham please visit their website (http://www.elvethamhotel.co.uk/) and if you would like to hire some magic for your party or wedding there then let me know!

This weekend I've done magic at a wedding, a 70th birthday party and on a boat trip along the Thames. Many congratulations to Kerry and Ryan, Dennis and Amanda - it was a pleasure to entertain and amaze your guests! I also had a rather unusual reaction to one of my favourite pieces of magic. Instead of getting a gasp of delight it caused a shocked silence and the poor lady involved looked rather stunned and scared by it all - take a look and see. If you think that magic is all about boring card tricks then this may change your mind! Performing good magic is a true art. It's all about getting a reaction from people. Just as a comedian is only a comedian if they can make someone laugh, a magician is only a magician if they can make someone gasp (and maybe laugh as well!) Creating a magical moment is very special and memorable for everyone involved. It's the perfect way to add something extraordinary to a party or wedding and in the video below you can see a quick example. I was booked to entertain the guests at the wedding of Lawrence and Carrie - held at the lovely Rivervale Barn just down the road from me in Yateley. I was there for three hours doing magic and mind reading, including my new speciality of teaching someone how to pick up secret thoughts from one of their friends, which proved very popular! However the real highlight was the special moment captured here, watch and see... Last weekend I was booked to do magic at a wedding, a party and a corporate "away day" - a great mixture of events! Some close up magic fits in really well any time that you want to treat people to something special.
Many congratulations to Amanda and Paul on their marriage in the amazing setting of Queen's Eyot, Monkey Island. If you haven't been there before it is the perfect wedding venue and made all the more special by the fact that you can only access it by boat! I'd also like to say thank you to Louise for the wonderful party on Sunday and to Paul and the team at William Grant and Sons for inviting me to perform at Wokefield Park during their team building day. This week I have two more weddings lined up plus a return to my regular slot doing close up magic and mind reading at Heathrow Airport, which is always a lot of fun - it's good to be busy! Last year I was contacted by Hemal. He had an unusual request - would I do some surprise magic for his girlfriend Neha in London one evening. No problem, but the final trick had to involve a ring magically appearing and he was then going to take the ring and propose to her! I thought this was a wonderful idea and we got everything arranged. The big day came, we were both a bit nervous, but it all went well and Neha said "Yes!" It was a very special and memorable occasion. Well, a couple of months ago, Hemal got in touch again, said that the wedding was all arranged and asked if I would come along to entertain the guests. Of course I was delighted and two days ago the wedding day arrived and I spent a wonderful afternoon at Baylis House Hotel in Slough wandering around amazing people. It was great fun and it was lovely to meet Hemal and Neha again.
Many congratulations and have a fantastic honeymoon in Thailand! |
