A few days ago I was invited to entertain at a surprise birthday party for Betty and lots of her family and friends. I won't mention which birthday it was, but it was a big one!
The venue was the Pavilion Room in the Sir Christopher Wren's House Hotel in the middle of Windsor, just by the bridge across to Eton. This is a fabulous venue and I've performed at weddings and wedding fairs here several times before, it's one of my real favourites. I had been booked as a special surprise for Betty and luckily she really enjoyed the magic. I worked my way round the guests and rounded things off with a lottery number prediction. People often ask why I can't use my magical and mind-reading skills to win the lottery. The problem is that the lottery numbers are chosen by a machine and you can't mind-read one of those! However if you ask a person to think of six numbers between 1 and 49 then it's much easier as a quick demonstration proved, to general amazement. Thanks to everyone who was at the party for giving me such a great reception and special congratulations to Betty!
