Working as a Berkshire Magician most of my magical performances are within the Berkshire, Surrey and London areas. However once in a while I will travel much further for a special event and that is what happened on Monday. I had been asked to do some wedding reception magic for Anne and Michael in the fantastic Saigon restaurant in the middle of Felixstowe. That's a 300 mile round trip from my base in Wokingham, but Anne was very keen to have some magic at her wedding, rather than a band or disco, and I was happy to help out. The journey was "interesting" as Southern England was being battered by rain storms, hail and gales - but as I eventually reached Felixstowe the weather cleared and I was able to enjoy a walk along the seafront before heading to the restaurant. The food at Saigon is superb and they have received many well-deserved five-star reviews and it was my job to provide some magic in between the courses. The time flew by and all too soon it was time to leave and drive the long road back home. Anne thanked me for coming and as I turned to leave the whole restaurant applauded - which was a lovely moment. Many congratulations to Anne and Michael - all the best for your future together.
